What changes have been made?

We installed 1.8kW solar photovoltaic (PV) panels, solar thermal water heating and a 13kW Tesla battery. Cavity wall insulation, loft insulation, double glazing, LED lighting and a 7kW air source heat pump (ASHP) was also fitted. Lastly, we purchased an electric vehicle (EV) alongside a charger.

What have been the approximate energy savings?

After installing the ASHP, kW consumption has reduced by at least 33% whilst we save £1,200 a year from the reduction in fuel using the EV. 

What have been the benefits to you and your home?

The ASHP provides more even temperature throughout the day which makes the house more comfortable during the colder months. The solar measures have reduced our energy bills.
