Property details:

1960s detached bungalow with cavity walls and a tiled roof.

What changes have been made?

We have installed 15 solar photovoltaic (PV) panels alongside a battery. The PV array is 6kW and the battery is 5kW. An air source heat pump (ASHP) was already installed when we moved to this property in 2023. The ASHP is rated at 12kW, during a winter’s day consumption it peaks roughly around 10kWh.

What have the benefits been to you/ your home?

Solar PV panels are doing their job in the background so benefits largely unseen. We are enjoying the lower electricity bills and find satisfaction watching the app tell us how much we are generating!
