Property details

Modern and elegant home completed in 2014, timber frame with larch waney cladding and lime render.

What changes have been made?

The build included 550mm thick rockwool cavity wall insulation, log burner, underfloor heating on the ground floor, radiators on the first floor and water heating via solar thermal. We also have a thermal store, a DPS Xcel Heat Bank, which combines hot water from the solar thermal, log burner and the air source heat pump (ASHP) into a 300-litre tank. The ASHP was installed more recently which works with the underfloor heating as well as the thermal store.

What have been the benefits to you and your home?

Heat spreads more evenly through the house, keeping us warm and cozy. Hot water is always available without needing to use a timer.
