What changes have been made?

The additions to our home are as follows: external solid wall insulation, well insulated timber-framed extention, south side conservatory, south facing window, ground mounted 4kW solar photovoltaic (PV) panels, electric vehicle (EV) charging point, 8kW air source heat pump (ASHP) with radiators and extractor fans.

What have been the benefits to you and your home?

The property was once hardly fit for human habitation, it was cold and plagued by condensation. Over 30 years later, it is finally a home. Retrofitting has catapulted our home from the 19th to the 21st century. Previously relying on the wood stove was risky.
